Same thing happened about 4 years ago. No trauma, no nothing. One day a 6" crack appears at the bottom edge of windshield, right in front of the steering wheel. Progresses day by day. With a $500 deductible, I have to pay for it myself. Thank goodness this is not a state where it is illegal to drive with it. I need time to save up the money, about $300 I am told. I have owned cars continuously for 43 years and have NEVER had a cracked windshield until I bought this car about 5 years ago.
