ABS light has been on in my car for a little over a year. Have taken it to a few places and they cannot figure out the problem. But my abs works fine.

I loved Toyota until I got this problem. I took the car in for them to check what was the problem, and yes they told me what was it but first they charged me $115 and told me that in order to fix it I had to pay $280 to clean the sensor and that might not fix the problem. So if it continued then they would have to replace the sensor and that would be another $300. So, I told them to piss off and cleaned the sensor myself with brake cleaner from Canadian Tire.($6) And after a while the light turned off. The only awful time was that between the time that I first cleaned it and until the light finally turned off, it took like 3 to 4 weeks. During that time the ABS light would go on and off randomly, and the ABS would activate when it shouldn't have to activate which was kind of dangerous considering that if you had to brake hard the ABS would activate and wouldn't brake as quick as it should. I am sooooooo happy Toyota has to recall all their junk cars to replace the gas pedal.
