Just had the oil changed and mini maintenance, and the mechanic told me my water pump had a crack

in it, and would need to be replaced within the next couple of weeks. He thought it was unusual, since the

similar models he has worked on haven't needed it until at least 90,000 mi. Anyone else out there have the same pricey problem?

My water pump went out. I never thought of it as a problem when they had told me in the past that the coolant was a little low, but during my last oil change, they informed me that my water pump was shot. Thankfully I still had 35 miles left on my warranty. I just think a water pump should last longer than 60K. It was completely covered, so I was happy about that.
