My horn does not consistently work. When I'm driving it only works sometimes due to believed to be faulty electrical. My door locks do not engage. A noise sounds but they do not engage causing safety issue. My wiper blades do not always work correctly nor do they spray wiper spray causing visibility issues. My electrical system is faulty causing one door to stay unlocked unless locked with key. My alarm system does not work. My driver side window does not properly work and will stop in the down position. The same door is having locking issue. There is known recall for other 2011 models on electrical system. I called VW and they said my VIN was not affected by the recall. I'm having the same issues as other Jetta owners with same year make and model and with active recall but VW refuses to fix my car. I could get into accident due to faulty horn, faulty door locks, faulty visibility and wipers that do not work properly. My electrical system is clearly faulty if all of these issues are failing at once. I took my vehicle to Firestone and they said faulty computer issues need to be fixed by VW. The vehicle is only 5 years old.

My boyfriend and I drove to get dinner. On the way there my radio was fine we were singing and laughing. We get to the restaurant and I turn my car off and there were these little buzzing sounds, didn't think anything of it. It was a hot day cars make sounds. After diner getting in the car and getting ready to start driving I realize I can't play music! I always use the aux cord. At first I thought it was my phone then I looked up and seen that my touch screen was black.... then I just thought it was turned off so I tired pushing the power button... nothing. So on the way home my boyfriend looked up the fuses got the chart, and we pulled it out and it was perfect no nothing. Then I immediately got on the internet and started reading. No only did I find that similar models and previous years have had the same problem, but in a few months it leads to dead batteries, and the possibly that's your car is not reliable and it should be with an easy fix. I also found that the type of radio is very hard to find, I couldn't find it in VW parts and replacements, but instead finding earlier, and more update versions!

On my way to my location I was listening to my radio without any issue. I got back in my car and my screen is black and radio is not working. I bought my car 4 months ago and am furious because the bumper to bumper warranty has expired. I have read many forums and see this has happened to many people. Why the hell has there not been a recall issued for this. From my research it is $800-$1000 to fix. It is not a blown fuse; already checked. Someone needs to look into this common problem and we need to hold th!M accountable. This is my first Jetta, and may very well be my last if this issue is not resolved.

Im experiencing a lot of problems with my car. First of all the lights don't always work they would turn on and off on their own until finally stopped completely. The next problem it has waiting at a stop light it looses power and shakes and stalls. Then I started experiencing the same problem while driving one time I was pulling into my driveway the car cut off and steering wheel locked thankful I was not on the freeway at the time. Then again on the freeway in rush hour traffic I was lucky enough to get over and pull off before it stalled the car putting and I was giving gas but car did not want to go it was not gaining speed it was on the verge of stalling. This is a safety issue its my only vehicle I'm afraid of it cutting off and stalling while driving and a accident occurring. The car stalling is while driving and with foot on the brake or in park. It also has a problem while in park and foot on brake the cars RPM rave on their own.

Similar to other reports here, extreme inner sidewall cracking; no indication from outside; approximately 1/2 of usable tread remaining. This affected all 4 tires and was inspected at VW dealer. Hankook communication occurred with determination of tread separation. This is an extremely dangerous situation as it is hidden from easy inspection.

38,875 miles - total collapse of the fuel line due to an internal failure of the tank fuel pump (hpfp). VW dealer inspected and found metal in the fuel system. VW dealer tested the fuel in my tank and it showed clean diesel fuel with no contaminants. VW paid dealer to replaced fuel system components & cleaned tank, unit in tank & hard lines. Adapted injectors, bleed fuel by stem and tested. I've retained records, communication, and sample of gas in tank at time of collapse. One problem after another with vehicle.

While driving, radio/cd/hands free telephone died. Blank screen, no power. All fuses fine. After removing radio and checking wiring /ground, auto stereo repair guy said that the radio unit is shot and will need to be replaced ($600 parts by dealer) or repaired for more. 2011 car has just over 300000 miles. Ridiculous

On February 1, 2014 I turned on my car and headed to church at about 1 in the afternoon, everything appeared fine. After church I did the same; however, shortly after I had left the church parking lot the glow plug and battery symbols started flashing and suddenly my engine stopped. Out of nowhere my car stalled in the middle of the road, thank goodness I had managed to steer to the side and that the cars on the road managed to go around me because it could have turned out into a tragedy. I had never had any issues with my engine/battery nor did any of the dashboard warning lights light up prior to this incident. I tried turning my car back on several times but it was unresponsive. The battery and alternator sounded fine but for some reason the car just wouldn't start back up. Could it have been the fuel pump" my car runs on diesel and I have always fueled it with the appropriate fuel without any issues so what now" I had to push my car out of the middle of the road and call a tow service to tow my car home. Over the next week I drove a rental to work and called the Volkswagen dealership and left multiple messages for parts and service and for the person in charge of extended warranty. It's been a week and they have not answered. My car has been out of a warranty now for a while, however I have maintained it and given it the proper care so it does not make sense that a 2011 vehicle would simply stall in the middle of the road without a warning. I am sure that this is a manufacturer's defect and I would like for it to be resolved promptly, I am sure I am not the only one that has had this issue in the past as I have seen multiple complaints online about this and there has even been a few recalls for previous diesel models regarding issues similar to mine.

Car would not accelerate properly, requiring the pedal to be completely depressed to achieve any acceleration even to low speeds. At this point, a brake warning light appeared for the first time. Vehicle was brought to dealer, jim ellis VW in the atlanta area who tested the model and determined the ABS module had failed. After replacing the ABS module the brakes locked during a test drive by the service staff. Subsequently the brake booster and brake master cylinder were replaced. Owner believes that this early failure of so many components on a newer, very low mileage vehicle likely represents manufacturing defect and could have resulted in serious injury.

We had just arrived to our nephew's pop warner football game. When we got out of the vehicle we told our 8 year old son to stand by the car while we pulled out our other son's stroller our of the truck. Our 8 year old leaned against the driver side rear end when suddenly we heard him screech in pain. We asked what had happened he said that he felt something hot hit his leg. When we looked we noticed that he had burned his right calf and it was because the exhaust pipes stuck out too far. We tried to treat the burn ourself with burn ointment but it was not enough. The next day we took him to the emergency room to have a doctor look at it and she said that he had 3rd degree burns and that it was infected.
