First off: This is a wonderful car! It is the 2nd Genesis we have leased new and wouldn't have anything else. We have had new Cadillacs Lincolns, Chryslers, & Corvettes, and a smattering of other products, and none can compare.
However, this is an irritant only:
On parking the car, placing it in PARK and opening the door to leave, then swiveling legs out, the driver seatback descends fully when my elbow presses lightly on it. On getting in, it is awkward to press the brake backpedal and the start button when you have no raised seatback. Once the car is started, I then need to press the seat control on the door to get the seat correctly situated. An irritant for sure. I have tried staying in the seat after car is off and leaning back (banging) several times relatively heavily and it does not drop the seatback, but when I put feet out and touch the seatback lightly with an elbow to get out, there it goes, grrr!
As I recall, we had no issues at all with the '15 Genesis. Previously, we had a used 2004 Hyundai XG-350 (at that time top of the line) followed by a 2008 Azera (again top of the line)!
We are in our 70's but when we leave this lease, we will get another Genesis!
