CarComplaints.com Notes: The QX60 is the only Infiniti in North America that uses Nissan's Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This isn't necessarily a good thing.

Well, as far as I'm aware, the converters are meant to last the life of the vehicle, but with the transmission this car has and the area I live in with constant stop/go they got clogged apparently... I had it confirmed by 3 garages. It's going to cost around 7000$ to fix and isn't covered by any warranty program unless its a new vehicle, but i live in NY and we have California compliant catalytic converters... (which are more expensive) but are required to pass inspection. Mind you, I'm still paying on the vehicle. Now I have to pay outta pocket to fix it because its not covered by the extended warranty or car shield... WTF!
