When I took my car in to have a vehicle inspection, it was rejected due to the gas leak. When I arrived home, I had received a service alert or something to that nature saying that this was a problem with the vehicle and to take it to the nearest service repair facility to verify the problem. I did that and they verified the problem. They also identified the piping that goes to the tank as being faulty and need s to be replaced at an additional 300+ dollars. How convenient. I then talked to Isuzu corporation and they said that the gas tank would be repaired at no cost. The repair company called me later in the day to tell me that there was some type of problem and the tanks wont be available until after May. I then asked if I needed to pick my vehicle up and could I drive it and they told me no because it was a safety issue thus the reason for the rejection. I asked Isuzu and the repair company if there was a loaner or something I could get since my vehicle could ne be driven. The Isuzu representative was very rude and told me that all they will take care of was the tank and what else did I expect them to do. I then contacted the repair facility to ask if there would be storage fees since I was advised to not drive my vehicle. They then told me I had to pick up the vehicle by the end of the week. I am now out a vehicle for 3 months or more, and am being forced to pick up my vehicle, which is over 30 miles from my home. I am officially putting this on record, just in case something happens to me or my vehicle. This is a huge inconvenience and expense. Trust and believe I am not through with this issue yet.

I have an Ascender and have owned it since 2004 when I bought it new. I am told that this issue is ONLY covered for the Extended 7 Passenger car but after some digging I see that this is a problem straight across the various GMC models (Trail Blazers, Envoys). This really should be covered but as of now I am told that since my car is not an Extended 7 Passenger vehicle it won't be covered.

Considering how many rants I am finding something should be done. Class action lawsuit sounds about right? Considering how many of us have had to pony up $2,000 to repair this, pool that and well, it would hire a very expensive lawyer...just saying....
