While driving at approximately 40mph vehicle stalled in middle of traffic. Had no warning. Was able to restart after awhile. Took vehicle to dealership to check. Mechanic indicated intake gasket needed to be replaced. However, failed to solve problem.

In July 2000 consumer heard a pinging noise, and dealer discovered that catalytic converter and muffler needed to be replaced. In Mar 2001, while driving 45 mph consumer heard a pinging sound, and noticed smoke coming from floor board near drivers feet.. it was a smoldering fire that burned a whole in floorboard. Dealer found catalytic converter had gotten so hot it started a fire.
