Oil light began to flicker on maintained Mazda 5. added 2 quarts oil. Following day engine began to rattle, jerk and stop going 65 mph on freeway. A rod from within the motor crack and punctured the oil pan cracking the motor. A new motor is required. Was advised by insurance mechanic sent for second opinion was a manufacture defect. Mazda says is not cover by warranty because of mileage on car.

Squeaky noise from front and rear suspension on Mazda5 2006. It made you feel that the whole front end or rear parts ready to fell off the car. Mazda dealer has replaced front and rear busing rubbers but problem came back after 2 years. Also, the car hesitate and sudden jump when gassing, it happens in the morning.

I have had and intermittent engine stumble on my 2006 Mazda5. I brought the car to the Mazda dealership with the tsb 01-008/08. Dealer stated that they could not duplicate the problem so therefore would not fix the problem under warranty. I have paid the dealer out of pocket to update the PCM for my vehicle.
