I love my Mazda5, but another user mentioned this issue and I would like to 2nd this as a pretty serious design flaw of this car. Although it does not affect the functionality of the car, it affects your ability to enjoy the car and causes SEVERE PAIN to the driver and passengers in the car!

If you only partially lower one of the windows in the car, the cabin pressure changes in such a way that you feel like your ears are going to explode. YOU HAVE to open a second window or the sun roof to relieve the pressure. And it has to be more than a crack. In order to relieve the pressure both windows have to be open several inches, otherwise the pressure is intense and causes pain and headaches. It also pulls so hard on the windows that you can visibly see the thumping against the frame of the door. It's a pretty bizarre defect. I think it speaks to the aerodynamics of the car, but holy moly, it could have been fixed with some minor changes to the car. In the spring and fall when it's too cold for the air conditioning and you just want to open the window a crack to let in a little air, this problem is a PIA.
