This peice of junk has had 4 motors now vvt has failed each time. The pin on the gear pops out and chain falls off. I hate this car and will never buy another Mazda. They did my airbag recall. Never even touched the airbag, put 70 miles on my car, scratched the roof up all bad and cracked my oil pan. Thanks dealer so glad I took it in

MAZDASPEED6 Sport 2.3L Turbo

  • Manual transmission
  • 56,000 miles

In August 2011 i bought my 2006 MAZDASPEED 6 and was thrilled with my new car, everything worked perfect on the car until about 1 month ago (Feb.26/13). i started to notice a loud metal on metal ticking noise coming from the passanger side of the engine, as time went on it got worse and worse. after weeks of digging thru the internet and all kinds of garage visits i found out it was something to do with the VVT valve and timing chain which turnes out being around a $1300 job.... after even further investegating this it was brought to my attation that MAZDA had issued a TSB or SSP which is an extention on the original warranty regarding this issue only, it was extended to 7 years or 70,000 miles, my car is still within 7 years and only has 56,000 miles on it, so i was very happy to find this out, BUT... when i took my car into my mazda dealer and brought this issue up the service manager ran my VIN and told me that because my car is a US model and is now registered in Canada that ALLLLLL warranty on the car is VOID!!!! let me tell you i was not happy to hear that.

i told myself that i will not give up that easy, so i went home and called "MAZDA NORTH AMERICAN OPERATIONS" or (MAZDA USA) and explained this issue to a customer servive rep. he looked into the issue for about 2 mins while i was on hold... when he came back he told me that there is nothing mazda can do because the warranty is now void and they WILL NOT be honoring this speical service program (SSP) i then asked to speak with his supervisor and he flat out refused to transfer the call, kept telling me that there is nothing else to talk about, i was starting to get mad, after 20 mins of asking for a supervisor he finally placed me on hold and about 2 mins later a man named Travis (supervisor) picked up the line and began to rant on about why they won't even consider fixing my car, i couldn't even get ONE word out because he kept talking over me and purposely interrupting me, i mean this supervisor was THE RUDEST PERSON i have ever talked to from a large company like mazda in my entire life. he was so unprofessional its not even funny!!!!!!! i didnt even have the chance to explain my side of anything, and finally i seen an opening to start talking and all of a sudden i hear, "good bye" and Click!! that rotton SOB hung up on me. i was sooo mad i was seeing red. i told him that this will be the first and LAST time ill ever own a Mazda and he replied " that's wonderful sir, is there anything else i can help u with" i really hope this call was recorded and his boss listens to it because he'll be fired on the spot, it was that bad.

i will fix my car and move on however.. because of the awful customer service experiance i will never own another mazda as long as i walk this earth and not because they won't stand behind their faulty engine components and pooly built cars, its 100% because of the customer service i received.. i really hope a higher up from MAZDA USA reads this and is embarrassed to be employed by this company. so my tip for the day is to really do your reasearch before buying a car and steer clear from Mazda, not because their cars are junk but because they will treat you like dog sh*t on the bottom of their sneakers whenever u need them the most, thanks for reading this rant lol!!!!!
