The contact owns a 2002 Mazda Tribute. While driving approximately 25 mph, the front passenger side tire turned inward without warning. The driver observed that the lower control arm fractured. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V174000 (structure). The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.
Contact states the motor mount needs to be replaced. In addition, , having problems with the sway bar on the driver's side. Also, the front lower control arm bushing needs to be replaced.
