We took possession of the 2014 Mercedes GLK 350 in October 2014. My wife is the driver of this vehicle. She complained to me about a strong front wheel vibration when braking on highway and a lesser vibration when braking on surface streets. There is only 19k miles on the vehicle, with the original brake pads and rotors.

The Fresno dealership advised us today that the rotors are warped, however the brake pads were still okay. They also informed us that our 12 mth, 12k mile warranty for the breaks has expired so we would have to pay them $800 to replace the rotors. I tried arguing that either the rotors are defective, the brake pads are defective, or the braking system is defective because it takes intense heat overtime to warp the rotors, and that there is no way the rotors should be warped at 19 k miles.

Fresno Mercedes refused to acknowledge the problem is with the rotors, brake pads, or braking system. This was my third and now my last Mercedes vehicle. If Mercedes designs their front rotors to warp with only 19k miles, I need to buy a safer vehicle from a different manufacturer for my family to travel in. Shocked at Mercedes quality and acceptance of low safety standards.
