The power steering hose detachment is a common problem reported on the internet. This site reports a recall to replace the hose clamp on 2015-2020 sprinter vans but the dealer tells me my vehicle is not covered. It was towed to the dealership on 2/13. They have not called me once about the repair and despite me calling them 3 times - I still don't have any answer about how they are going to fix it.

I can't believe they would quibble about a hose clamp that should cost less than $1, when the liability of losing power steering while driving on winding mountain roads in Colorado could be far higher and possibly catastrophic. MB should replace the clamps on all these vehicles immediately!
