wheel sensors damaged wheel sensors damaged

We bought this 4x4 Van specifically to drive safely to Colorado because we thought it would handle well in snowy/rugged conditions. We drove it from Texas to Colorado. We only drove it on roads. Not off road. After 5 days, the problem occurred. All of the warning lights came on and it went into “limp mode”. Would only get up to 30mph when floored.

After scheduling to have it fixed, we were told by the Mercedes dealership that ALL 20 sensors that were available at the Mercedes parts warehouse sold out in 1 day. This tells us that we weren’t the only Van with this problem. (Part #907-905-01-00)

Mercedes needs a better design on the sensors that offers protection around them. The sensors disconnect / brake too easily. It’s not covered under warranty either which needs to be addressed. Not happy I’m having to spend $1,000.00 on my brand new, 3 month old Van.
