The car went through 5 alternator belts within the span of a month. It was infuriating. My mechanic said the alternator that was in the car, seemed to be too big for the spot it was in, so it made the belt sit crooked, and eventually wore away at it. He replaced the alternator which was brand new, and it still threw belts. To this day, I don't have a solution, I just don't drive it.
