My husband lost his key and key fob. I went to Lowes to have a new one made. The salesperson told me that he was not able to help me. I would have to go to the dealer and be prepared to reach deep into my pockets. So, off I went to the Dealer, and was shocked to find out that ONE key costs 80.00 and ONE key fob costs 110.00. What a shock!!!! I proceeded to act totally shocked and to ask for Ford's customer service number, and finally the Dealer said he would provide me with a new key for only $55.00.

So, it was quite a shock to spend that much, when I was going to spend 2.62 at Lowes.

I told him that I thought this should be against the law, since it forced you to go to the Dealer and spend an excessive price.
