The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Mariner. The contact stated that the rear driver side window slid down into the door. The contact stated that the window had to be pulled up manually. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear driver side power window regulator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. One year later, the contact observed that the rear passenger side window slid down into the door and had to be manually raised. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear passenger side power window regulator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. Updated 03/04/16 updated 03/14/16.

Went to shut back door on vehicle and the back glass just exploded. Glass went every where me and my children were hit with glass but no injuries.

The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Mariner. The contact stated that rear window on the lift gate had suddenly exploded. A glass company replaced the window on 03/07/2010, one week later after closing the rear lift gate the rear window exploded again. She took the vehicle to the dealership and was informed that the failure could not be repaired. The contact then took the vehicle to a collision center and she was informed that the rear window shock was broken and was replaced. The current mileage was approximately 4,500 and the failure mileage was approximately 3,800. Updated 05/12/11 updated 06/06/11
