Ford issued a "customer satisfaction program" - a deceptive alternative to a recall - for 2009 Ford Escapes and Mercury Mariners for defective throttle bodies, but conveniently excluded Hybrids. As best I can tell, they use the same throttle body! Ford just wants to leave us, hybrid owners, high and dry ... and stranded with a dead car in the middle of a six-lane road!!
