With no warning about the tail going out, it causes the matter to become a very dangerous problem. I was in traffic and going about 45 mph when my car cut off and then the theft protection system was activated. Need to recall this and re-wire this, redo so that light just goes out only. This caused the vehicle to be locked. I travel on the expressway to work and this could have become a serious incident...please look into this.
Update from Apr 30, 2015: I had the assembly replaced. This does not resolve the issue that if it goes out again that it will disable the car. This is a safety issue and it needs to be addressed before someone is hurt by such. Please recall this and have it fixed so that if the tail light goes out it will not shut the car off and make it immobile.
