The contact owns a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle hesitated to respond. The failure occurred previously while in reverse. The contact indicated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 130,000.

While in motion, the engine stalled without any warning (e.g., no engine hesitation). After vehicle stopped, and transmission put into park, the engine restarted without problem and car operated fine. The same problem occurred again on 3/22/2014.

Trac off light and anti-lock light on, car jerks into drive, and while changing gears. Has to replace sensory, drive shafts, etc. Brakes don't work, car jerks after 3000 rpms, dangerous, and can cause crash.
