The auto mechanic tried charging me $550 for an entirely new rack and pinion for the power steering system, claiming that the power steering fluid would continuously leak and would need refilling on a daily or weekly basis. In actuality, I used power steering sealer to seal the leak, and haven't had to refill the power steering fluid for almost six weeks... and still counting. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm stupid! Jackass.
