When I bought the car three years ago, the check engine light would sometimes come on for no apparent reason, but stopping and restarting the car would turn it off. Sometimes the car would jerk (engine would quit and almost instantly restart) while driving on the highway and most often the light would come on. Sometimes I noticed that the speedometer would become erratic at the same time. As time went by, the car would sometimes jerk and stop. There was no spark and after five or ten minutes it would restart again.

A few months ago, it would sometimes shudder under very little or any kind of acceleration. The car could be hot or cold, and eventually it would be ok.

A few days ago, it jerked and stopped with no ignition, but would not start til the next day. The last time it happened was the very LAST time.

I have replaced the crankshaft sensor, the ignition module, and the complete computer but there is still no spark. I have noticed about a half dozen other electronic boxes under the dash. Could any of them be the cause?
