Direct frontal collision with side of another car at approximately 35 mph. Air bags did not deploy. Driver sustained injuries consistent with whiplash. Vehicle had recall work done on airbag system at dealer earlier in the month. There was white powder in the vehicle immediately after impact and 2-3 hours afterwards there was a hissing sound in the dash area. Front bumper is pushed into engine compartment, hood is buckled and radiator is damaged. I feel the air bags should have deployed in this situation.
