Water pump has broken 3 times in the last 3 years. Also the timing belt was broken 3 times and tensioner was broken 2 times ( all replaced when water pump was broken )-in Plymouth Voyager 1996.8jb

The A/C compressor went out burning on freeway.

Serpentine belt tensioner broke causing belt to brake, loosing power steering capabitlties. This could cause a serious accident if vehicle was driven at highway speed. Manufactuer insists that this is a normal wear item, and not that unusual. Vehicle owner has heard of two other instances such as this although they were not reported. There appears to be potential deadly defect with this part even though the maufactuer will not admit to it. Serious potential for injury exists if the tensioner breaks at highway speeds.
