Bought car with 18,000 miles on it in 2014. Car has been treated like a queen. Failure of the CAM shaft and lifters is rare at low mileage; however, because it was in 2017 (8 years from manufacturer date), GM wouldn't cover the cost. I was told new engine would cost upwards of $10,000, so it was repaired.
