TSB Document:

Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE

Summary
Concerns: DME control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. With the previous software for controlling the cooling-air flaps for demand-controlled regulation of engine cooling, there is a possibility that the cooling-air flaps will remain closed at speeds of over 124 mph (200 km/h) on the affected vehicles. If this high speed is maintained, the cooling-air flaps can no longer be opened when additional cooling air is required due to the air force acting on the vanes. In this case, cooling performance can be reduced and as a result, the warning messages "Engine too hot, Park vehicle to cool down" and "Oil temperature too high" can be displayed in the instrument cluster.
