The contact owns a 2006 Saab 9-7X. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 mph, the wheels seized and control of the vehicle was lost. The contact was able to regain control and merged to the shoulder of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear airbags needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Prior to the failure the vehicle's rear airbags were replaced and NHTSA campaign number: 14V404000 (visibility) was performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000. The VIN was not provided.
