Why has GM not recalled this for a fix. This is a really big safety issue. I have to have it fixed, otherwise I am driving a death car. Never have I had this happen in all of the GM cars I have owned. On line there are several instances of 2009 Saturn Auras with his issue. GM needs to take responsibility and have this problem fixed at their expense not the car owners. I have taken care of my car of 10 years, it is a very good car except for this one issue now. I am waiting for the new frame to be delivered to the dealer, once it arrives the seat will be fixed and my savings will be depleted $1400.

I started noticing that my seat was extremely uncomfortable and was hurting my right leg. When I tried to adjust it, it would shift back and forth when I tried to raise or lower the seat. After reading online, I found out that other Aura, G6 and Malibu owners experienced the same thing and that the weld was broken. I removed the seat and found out that both welds holding the crossbar were broken. I had a friend weld both sides, but the seat is still uncomfortable because I think the back is crooked. I put a towel underneath the leather to see if that would help, but it still hurts. Now I have constant pain in my leg from driving this car. the weld has broken once again and I am not sure what to do. Dealer wants $1000 for a new one, but I think GM should cover this, as it was a manufacturing defect. I am very frustrated with this car. I just want it to work. I think there should be a class action lawsuit regarding this issue, as it is very unsafe.
