The car was running fine until i let it sit for 6 months. It needed new tires and I didn't want to deal with it. Then it wouldn't start. I bought a new battery and it was working great. I got new tires, they replaced my wheel bearings and I drove it out of town. I stopped to get gas. Once the gas was in I couldn't get it started. It wouldn't even turn over. I finally pushed it out of the way and it started up. It seemed to be working fine, but then it started turning off while I was driving it. At first it was just happening in higher gears, then in all gears. Eventually I couldn't restart it. Sometimes if I waited 10 min I could restart it. I bought new spark plugs. It ran a lot smoother when it did run, but it still kept shutting down. I put fuel injector cleaner in it and it seemed to help. Once a week I would hop in and drive it around the block without a problem. Then I let it sit a month and I can't get the damn thing started. The engine turns over but it won't start. I was going to take it for a longer drive but obviously can't. I'm guessing a fuel filter or fuel pump problem but I don't want to spend any more money trying to fix it unless i know what exactly is wrong with it. i had another saturn of the same year that did this at about the same milage. A boyfriend at the time fixed it but refused to tell me what was wrong with it cuz he didn't want me to pay for the repairs. I just wish I knew because i think it is a common Saturn problem for this mileage.
