i was on my way home from work and i had to come to a stop at a stop sign. when i tried to put my car into first gear it wouldnt go. i kept trying. nothing. so i drove the remaining 8 miles starting in second. i fiddled with it when i got home and found that the only way to get into first is to let out the clutch and push the shifter into first, which creates a grinding sound. i have been told that it is a very expensive repair so i decided to buy a new car
