The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Sky. The contact stated that the hood to her convertible does not have a secondary latch. As a result, the hood rapidly flies back as if it were a sail. If the hood spontaneously opens while driving on the beltway, it could easily detach because of the air pressure from the wind. She took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the component was not a warranty item; therefore, she would have to repair the vehicle at her expense. The vehicle has not been repaired.
