I cant understand how this is not a recall, considering it imposes danger to ANYONE sitting in the passenger seat. If the airbag does not deploy someone is getting hurt in an accident. If I am sitting at a red light and someone rear ends me and I end up hitting the car in front of me the air bag will not deploy. This in return is at no way my fault but I can be held responsible for the passenger due to no air bag. It is TOTALLY inexcusable for GM not to take responsible for this issue due to no deaths and the cost. I guess GM would like a major lawsuit to see the light. If this many vehicles are having the same issues with faulty airbags then GM should be held responsible for the repair of the problem. But lets make a recall on the ignition cylinder failing and disabling the airbags and yet this is not a serious safety issue. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???????? STAND UP TO THE PLATE GM!!!!!!!!

I have owned my 2008 Saturn Sky for about 1 1/2 years and it has less than 15,000 miles on it. The air bag sensor when out the second month I owned the car. The dealer replaced the sensor of just under $900 and guaranteed the sensor for one year. I think that this is a safety issue and should not fail when the Sky has less than 15,000 miles on it. The sensor should last the life of the vehicle at least be warrantied for 150,000 miles.
