The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the key was difficult to remove from the ignition on several occasions. The contact also mentioned that the power steering and the transmission failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 93,000.

Key is able to be removed while the ignition switch is in on position, whether vehicle is stationary, moving, running or off. Started shortly after purchase (used) in 2010, at about 65,000 miles. Very disconcerting to say the least.

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the key became stuck in the ignition and could not be removed. Contact also stated that the key would not turn in the ignition. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing and was advised that the cylinder was locking. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number 14V047000 (air bags, electrical system) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 138,522.

Like other cars in the ignition recall, when I try to turn on the car the wheel is locked, I need to move the steering wheel back and forth and if that doesn't work I press on the gas. I can also take the key out when the car is running. GM will not pay for it because it is not in the recall and my mileage is over 100K. I also have a problem with the airbags turning on when there is no one in the passenger seat.

The contact 2007 Saturn Vue. When the contact stated attempted to exit the vehicle, the key was stuck inside of the ignition. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the ignition switch was replaced. The failure recurred five times. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer each time the failure occurred where the ignition switch would be replaced or new keys to the vehicle would be provided. The failure mileage was 23,446 and the current mileage is 41,537. Updated 7/26/10 updated 08/18/10
