I was told by a ga mechanic that I need to purchase a "vapor emissions canister" for my 2005 Scion Tc in the amount of $520.96 (parts & labor) I see there is a recall/technical safety bulletin on this below bulletin no: S-sb-0030-09 date of bulletin: 08/30/2010 summary description: Scion: Some Tc vehicles may exhibit a mil on condition with one or more of the following dtcs: P0455, P0441 or P0456. 2005 Toyota Scion Tc fuel system, gasoline service bulletin 288332 NHTSA: Action number: 10033635 service bulletin number: 288332 report date: Jun 02, 2009component: Fuel system, gasoline summary: Scion: Some Tc vehicles may exhibit a mil on condition with one or more of the following dtcs: P0455, P0441 or P0456. Do I really need to purchase this or can this be corrected by Scion/Toyota?
