A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Had pistons and piston rings replaced under the "warranty enhancement" at 90,000 after failing the oil consumption test as of course my car ATE oil. Everything was maintained to to the T on this car always nothing was ever overdue had the records to prove it.

at 110,000 I was driving home on the expressway and the motor all the sudden was very loud clacking noise, was near home so i made it there and had to towed to the dealership to investigate what the issue was. Two days later they call and tell me that my bearings and crankshaft went. When speaking with my service advisor I asked if when the car was in under warranty if the bearings had been removed. I was told yes and as per toyota's corporate policy that if they were not visably damaged that the bearings were to be reinstalled in the car, at no point was I told that the bears and crankshaft were removed, or NON-REUSABLE PARTS were being put back in my car. I was quoted for just the bearings and crankshaft 5k to fix, if they didnt find any additional issues which of course would happen. At no point was I given the option to pay for the bearings out of pocket instead of putting the old back in when going in for warrenty work.

Spoke with corporate toyota and they point blank told me it was not thier problem, and if it was thier fault from the warrenty work that it would have happened sooner so they had no way to help.

End of the day I was upside down on a giant paperweight that no other dealership wanted so I had to buy another car from this dealer, and they would not give me the tc on the lot that I wanted they pushed me into a IM instead as it cost more.....
