heated seat fire

11 days after my passenger seat burned up from the inside - heating element/heated seat, still no word from Toyota about if or what they plan to about it. I've now taken the fuse out for the passenger heated seat and too scared to use the driver side seat. Scion is a hybrid of Toyota/Subaru parts and I know some heated seats in this year from Toyota's had problems. I've been telling everyone who will listen including my Doctor, and basically, thanks to the lack of response, will never trust Toyota again. If they'd dealt with this promptly I could have understood, but the silence and lack of reply to my phone calls after Toyota Canada said "we take these things very seriously, a manager will be in touch with you" and one call, I missed it, a phone message, and now none of my calls back have been returned. Car stinks like a house fire, I drive with the windows open, and can only take passengers in the back seat, including my 86 year old mom. It's a hatch back by the way.
