it would appear that a mechanic with 30 years experience cannot do the timing belts on a Skoda car.only Volkswagen dealers are able to do this work.car was bought as a Taxi with 3 years unlimited mileage warranty and all service parts used were from Skoda dealer and carry a 2 year warranty ,but it would appear only if the dealer carry out the work.
