I have a 2006 Suzuki Forenza and have issues with the transmission range sensor and the airbag light staying on. I have looked online and there are several complaints about the same issues. Whenever the car is put in reverse or I have to go down the gears to drive, the car jerks and then drives very slowly. It is as though I am driving a stick-shift and not letting off of the clutch. The whole car jerks when this happens. I do not and have not had the money to fix this problem. The dealership told me it would $350 plus labor to fix this part alone. On top that they said my serpentine belt needs changed which would be an additional $190. I believe this car needs recalled or atleast Suzuki needs pay the majority of the costs for the part being replaced.

Three weeks after I purchased my Forenza the check engine light came on, so I took it in to the dealership & was told it is a known problem with the Forenza.the problem had to do with the '02 sensor' and currently there is no fix for the problem. At that time they reset the code problem. Each time the problem recurred I went back to the dealership and they caused the light to turn off. On August 25 the promised fixed was installed and a few days later the check engine light turned on again and I returned to the dealership and was told that the correction has not worked and I would be contacted when one was available. As of October 25, 2006, the check engine light is still on and I have not been contacted by no one, even though I have called, written and emailed to everyone connected to the dealership.

: the contact stated on three separate occasions, the vehicle would not start in the morning without the accelerator pedal being pressed. The dealership was unable to determine the problem but believed it may have been a software problem that was aggravated by the climate updated 6/16/2006 - the dealer took the car back nd gave the consumer full credit towards another vehicle.
