The contact owns a 2006 Suzuki Forenza. The vehicle has hankook tires. While driving 60 mph, the front driver side tire tread and belt disintegrated. The vehicle had 76 miles at the time of purchase. The contact stated that the tire unraveled and tread and wires were scattered across the road. The wires were pulled underneath the vehicle by the tire, which caused the engine to fail. She was able to pull off the road and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. She stated that the dealer and manufacturer have been giving her the run around. The tire and vehicle current and failure mileages were 1,900. No other tire information was available. The consumer stated would like to be reimbursed the cost of the vehicle so another vehicle can be purchased. Updated 10/03/07
