I got in my car, turn ignition switch on and boom! my side air bag deployed. This vehicle has never been in an accident or fender bender and no work has been performed in a very long time except for my oil change about 45 days ago. There was no warning or anything. It just blew up.

On 12-08-09, I entered into my 2007 Suzuki Reno. I was sitting in my driveway. I turned the ignition to accessory mode(I did not start the engine), within seconds my driver's side(seat) airbag deployed. I have not had any accidents in the vehicle, nor any other damage that would cause an airbag deployment. I have sustained minor injuries due to the impact of the airbag. I have been advised by my insurance company to contact Suzuki corporate office. I have spoken with numerous reps with Suzuki, all of whom say they cannot do anything. I have been told by my local dealer that they will tow the car to the service department for inspection. But due to the fact my car is not covered under my initial warrant of 36000 miles, any and all repairs - this includes malfunctions and defects - would have to be covered personally.
