The contact owns a 2007 Suzuki SX4. When the vehicle was started, the air bag indicator illuminated and remained lit. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic test located failure code: Dtcb1312. The mechanic stated that the front passenger seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not called. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.

Passenger air bag sensor is bad. Sensor is on and nobody can tell me why except to buy a new seat. I already replace the drivers seat due to same issue.

2007 Suzuki SX4: Naguabo, pr. Air bag light and front passenger sensing system indicators stay on. Took to dealer, computer reset done. Lasted only 4 days, air bag sys fault lights on again. Taken back to dealer, service dept said the front passenger seat air bag sensor was faulty. Mileage 54,442 not covered under warranty. Over $2,000 to fix issue. This must be a factory defect that somehow appears after your warranty expires. This is a safety issue.
