Mitsubishi Recalls Outlander Sport AWD Because of Crazy Gas Gauge
Missing fuel sending unit harness can cause gas gauge to go haywire.

— Mitsubishi is recalling 3,724 model year 2013 Outlander Sport AWD vehicles because the gas tank could be empty even though the gauge says the tank has fuel.

The affected vehicles were manufactured June 11, 2012, through December 11, 2012.

Mitsubishi says the Outlander Sport AWD might have been built without a fuel sending unit harness for the sub-sending unit, which could cause the false fuel tank level.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration didn’t say when the recall will begin.  Mitsubishi dealers will install the fuel sending harness that should have been there in the first place.

With questions, contact Mitsubishi at 888-648-7820 and ask about recall number SR-13-005.
