Ram ProMaster City Vans Recalled to Replace Tire Placards
Chrysler recalls 11,300 Ram ProMaster City vans with incorrect van capacity and tire pressure info.

— Fiat Chrysler (FCA US) is recalling nearly 11,300 model year 2015-2017 Ram ProMaster City vans to replace incorrect tire placard labels.

The current placards have the wrong information about van capacity weight and what the total number of occupants should be. But the placards are really off-base with incorrect tire pressure information and/or a "None" designation for the spare tire size even though the vans have full-size spare tires.

The incorrect labels violate federal safety standards because a driver who follows the incorrect label information can experience all sorts of not-so-great things. Exceeding the vehicle weight capacity or using the wrong tire pressure can result in problems controlling the van, braking issues or even tire failure.

The 2015-2017 Ram ProMaster City recall is expected to begin November 15, 2017, when dealers will replace the incorrect labels with corrected tire placards.

FCA didn't say more about the ProMaster City recall, but van owners with questions may call 800-853-1403 and request info about recall number T62.
