Toyota Recalls Tundra Trucks Over Label Snafu
Toyota thinks it counted the floormats twice and caused the load carrying weight labels to be wrong.

— Toyota is recalling about 500 Tundra trucks to mail owners new load carrying capacity labels after mistakes were made when counting the floormats.

May sound strange, but Toyota says the accessory all-weather floormats for 2018-2019 Tundra trucks may have been counted twice when the load carrying labels were created.

This results in the labels overstating the additional carrying weight by 10 pounds, and anything off by 1 percent is a violation of federal standards.

Tundra owners will be sent corrected labels when the recall begins November 9, 2018.

Owners with questions may contact Toyota at 888-270-9371 and inquire about recall number J0Z.
