Transmission Park Lock Rods Cause FCA Recall
Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles may unintentionally roll due to transmission problems.

— Transmission problems have caused Fiat Chrysler (FCA US) to recall 71 model year 2018 Dodge Charger, Durango and Challenger, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, Chrysler 300 and Ram 1500 vehicles.

The automaker says the wrong transmission park lock rods may have been installed in the transmissions. This means the transmissions may fail to shift into PARK to prevent the vehicles from moving.

Dealers will need to install the correct transmission park lock rods once the recall begins June 20, 2018.

If you own one of the affected vehicles and have concerns, call the automaker at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is U43.
