CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2006 is the worst year for PT Cruiser engine complaints. Having an engine light on is annoying, but it's the complaints about the engine shutting-off while driving that really have us concerned.

I've had multiple "MYSTERY" issues with this vehicle since I drove it brand new off the Chrysler-Dodge Dealership lot (Feb. 2006) up until the present:
Digital cabin temperature gauge - drops down as low as 12 degrees (in California summer weather, while driving after initial startup. Then moments later digital gauge reading gradually rise back up to accurate temperature. It still happens intermittently after 8 years. This issue has never been resolved because the problem could not be duplicated by any dealership service tech or private mechanic.
