CarComplaints.com Notes: Engine cradle rot is a serious problem in the 2004-05 Chrysler Pacifica. Chrysler admits they didn't apply enough coating to the vehicle's sub-frame during assembly, but only offered to cover a very small portion of the vehicles they messed up.

So what happens when your engine cradle rots? Well, the engine could fall out for starters. It could also cause problems with the suspension and other components but did I mention THE ENGINE CAN FALL OUT? The worst part is you might not know because there's no way to see the problem without getting under the car.

If you have a 2004-05 Pacifica, make sure to have your mechanic inspect your sub-frame for rust and corrosion.

Rick hendrick Jeep/Chrysler, North charleston, SC did not perform the necessary job duties to remedy the safety recall of the fuel pump on my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The dealer had my vehicle for 4 days, but the recall was not properly corrected which caused major danger to myself and my family! I first began to smell gas on Tuesday evening after I filled my gas tank and continued to smell excessive gas on Wednesday so I called the service department. I was told to bring my vehicle back to be checked out, but they claimed nothing was found! so I returned home on their word. The very next day, Thursday, I proceeded to fill my gas tank again to take a road trip out of state that evening, but as my tank was filling so was the ground of the gas station...I was very upset at this point!!!! I called rick hendrick's service manager who didn't exhibit any remorse for my endangerment! I was quite irate at this point because I felt endangered and was suppose to be on my way out of town, but could not leave due to rick hendrick's service department lack of responsibility to take care of me as a customer satifactorily! I told the S.M. that I wanted to be compensated for the two gas fill-ups that I had lost due to their problem, but he did not compensate me! my vehicle and myself was towed to the dealer, and finally they found that they were at fault...not myself! they did not put the correct seal on my vehicle, therefore, the gas was leaking out! I was not treated satisfactorily once I arrived at the dealer. This was a total inconvenience traveling 50 miles each time for their problem! I want compensation, and a formal apology from rick hendrick! I also contacted the general manager who has never called me back regarding this matter, therefore, I will seek other recourses. I will definitely not recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from there, and I have decided not to give them my business any longer!

- the contact called received recall notice 06V432000. She stated that repair was done on 12/18/06 for the fuel pump. The contact states that on 12/19/06 the vehicle wouldn't start. The vehicle was towed by aaa to dealership, the dealership told her that the replacement fuel pump was defective, and they replaced it again. The contact stated that on 12/22/06 after 2nd replacement she was driving at a speed of 80 mph when the vehicle lost power, there was no indication or warning lights. The contact was able to pull the vehicle off to the side of the road, she turned off the ignition switch and turned it back on, and the vehicle started up.

Since of October of 2005 my Chrysler Pacifica 2005 touring has stalled numerous times. One particular incident I remember is when I was make a permissible U-turn and the vehicle stalled. Fortunately for me there was not on-coming traffic and I placed the vehicle in park and restarted the ignition. The stall issues complete power failure in the vehicle. The engine is very loud at low speeds and idles. Currently the fuel gauge is reading incorrectly. According to epa estimates miles on a tank is 393 miles, the gauge reads 301-312. Also, the vehicle around November started to experience difficult cold starts. Initially I attributed that to cold weather, however the problem has become persistent. The was an accident in January 2006 with my wife at the wheel but I has yet to be determined if it was due to vehicular or driver error. While I am not a professional auto mechanic or ase certified, my opinion is that this is an issue with the vehicles intake and possibly a misfire of the pistons. I have submitted the vehicle to a Chrysler facility for

Purchased the car six weeks ago and it has 2,500 miles on it. I was making a left turn onto a busy exit entering a major highway (route 1N) and the car stalled and steering wheel locked. I have a four year old and a two year old. Thank god they were not in the car with me. No accident occurred. The dealer appointment is in five days at which they will test drive the vehicle with me to try to recreate the situation.
