In Sept 2004 the transmission had to be rebuilt/reconditioned by Transmission Masters.. At that it only had less than 41,505 miles on it and of course barely past the 36,000 warranty.
They quoted us $1,949.45 but then gave us a $194.95 credit for customer satisfaction (whatever that means) so the total cost of repair was 1,754.50 on what I considered to be a still new vehicle. I will never ever buy any type of Dodge vehicle again. They are made to look good, but are built like crap!! When we researched transmission problems on Durangos there were sooooo many complaints & customer dissatisfaction on these poorly built vehicles!
