The problem occured when I was on the freeway. Pressed on the gas pedal to pass a car, The motor went into hyper drive and RPM's jumped to 4,000+. Next thing you noticed the overdrive is no longer working. Now you see how much you are paying in gas. Noticed the RPM levels are .5 higher at every speed. Brought the truck to a transmission specialists and got the Solenoid replaced. $425 for the part 3 hours of work for a total of $800.00Cdn. I got a Guarantee of 6 months. If this happens again. I will be trading the car in. It is bad enough to pay for the gas!!
